I prioritise making sure you feel comfortable and confident being tutored. I do this by often asking if you have any questions and wholey encourage you to step in. I believe encouragement is key, as being overcritical only damages motivation. I try to ensure studying remains an enjoyable experience by using only constructive criticism, by using multiple alternative approaches, and by ensuring tasks are never unbearably overwhelming.
I am an engineer with a learning centered around Maths. I have just graduated from the University of Sheffield, completing my Masters degree. I have tutored 60+ lessons using MyTutor and have experience working as a TA across the last 3 years. I really enjoy tutoring, particularly because of the fulfilment it gives me knowing I am helping others progress.

I am already an enthusiastic tutor and regularly tutor multiple students weekly, enjoying the positive impact my support can have. I am hopeful to continue this fulfilling passion through your role. As portrayed in my CV, my academia encompasses a wide range of skills, all of which have required various learning styles and approaches, giving me a greater understanding of how to overcome challenges faced by students. My studies have helped mature me in preparation for a role like this, with an understanding of how to approach a wide range of problems.
Experience at MyTutor has developed my ability to produce solutions to a wide variety of tasks and manage work across many projects simultaneous in a business environment. This has helped me gain an understanding of the nature of work in education, whilst teaching me the importance of being able to embrace change fast with an adaptable attitude. Furthermore, having
worked with a diverse range of students I am appropriately prepared to deal with independent educational demands.
Having finished my studies, I am intending to demonstrate what I have learnt from my experiences so far to a new challenge.
