From my experience I found out that, most of the confusion and misunderstanding come from the basics of any topic or problem. I like to approach each question by making it relatable to something the student understands, showing it's potential benefit in real life scenarios so it wouldn't seem "boring" or "useless".
I'm a second year Mechanical engineering student and I have always loved maths and physics. they always made sense to me (being raised by two engineers). I have always been good at these subjects. my teaching experience came from a lot of friends and people that always asked me to explain things related to physics and maths, which resulted in me having to adapt to using different methods, perspectives and examples to explain them.
