Welcome to my listing, my name is Onyeka Efese currently in my 3rd year of a degree in Chemical Engineering at UCL. My intention is to give lessons to all students ranging from final year A-Level down to Secondary school students, assisting in Maths and Physics. The lesson structure will start with 5 minutes assessing the areas to be covered within each lesson, then at least 20 minutes on each subject, attempting questions with emphasis placed on an appropriate technique to approach each question. Finally, a 5-10 minute review I will suggest areas for practice and recommend references to help with your background reading. I will endeavor to be patient with all my students and will adjust to your learning style.
Over the years of my academic schooling, I have engaged in several tutoring and mentoring schemes. This gave me an opportunity to share my knowledge and to offer advice into how to manage academic pressures. My aim is to stimulate curiosity and a love of learning in my students regardless of your current learning experience. From my own experience, I had such teachers who took me from a state of being so disinterested in Maths and science to a highly mathematical degree.

Public speaking experience
In 2015, I along with a former classmate volunteered to give a 30-minute talk to a large group of year 10 and 11 students. The objective of the talk was to encourage them to consider taking maths and further maths as an A-level in the future. We also had a chance to share our own experience having done both subjects. It was a great privilege to insight and encourage the future generation. The presentation also enhanced my presentational skills and the ability to encourage others by a short speech.
In 2016, I volunteered to assist with the UCL Academy Mentoring scheme. This involved discussions with a small group of Year 12 students and Year 8 Students. The aim was to be a guiding support to them over the course of 6 Weeks. Including both online and face to face discussions. The outcome was rewarding for myself and the students with 91% of the Year 12 mentees reporting that they had a better understanding of University study and student life and 79% feeling more confident about applying to University in the future. Furthermore, 80% of year 8 mentees agreed that they were more aware of their education and career options at the end of the program.
Onyeka is cool, calm, and intelligent and this showed in his A/L results scoring A's. He is patient with slow learners, able to impart knowledge to others in a way that some would struggle with. Onyeka enjoys maths and physics and had the best results of his class. He is also kindhearted and well liked. Whoever that is fortunate to be thought by him would enjoy him. He is also very hardworking.
