My teaching method is a hands on approach that looks for real world applications for the topics being taught. This helps students remember what a maths problem is used for through analogies. If that teaching style doesn't work with a pupil I will change the style to a more problem based approach. I find these methods work best to learn anything rather that just doing equation after equation.
I am an Engineering Student at the University of Sheffield. I have ran tuition groups with in University for students in years below, however I'm now looking to tutor Maths up to GCSE level.
I find maths very boring if there is no context to go with it, therefore I understand why maths can be a struggle.
