My classes incorporate both structured and free-flow elements. This means that I spend the first 30-45 minutes teaching using PowerPoint presentations, texts and sources. Then, for the second half of the class, I focus on discussion, writing and debate to encourage students to think for themselves and use the knowledge that they were just taught.
This helps students to learn as quickly as possible and means that we can adapt to any unique needs and challenges as they arise. If we need to stop to cover a different topic, we can do so!
I have been a tutor since September 2015 during my first year at the University of Glasgow. Since then, I have tutored privately and for a number of tutoring agencies. I have a TEFL certificate and a Level 4 proofreading and editing qualification. I am working towards completing my PGCE in English in 2022.
Shani is an experienced English tutor with excellent understanding of English language and English grammar. She proofread and corrected many of my works, including university essays. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a great proofreader or English tutor.
Shani gives incredibly helpful and concise criticism when proofreading and editing my writing, it's always easily understandable but complex ideas are never lost in simplicity. I would recommend Shani heavily to anyone looking for an amazing teacher or tutor!
