My classroom approach is student centred, using Peer Tutoring techniques. I teach English to learners of all ages. I inject humour into my lessons and I try to bridge the gap between the classroom and life in the community. I have trained junior teachers on Cooperative Learning techniques.
38 years of experience in the teaching sector.I have held positions of responsibility in both academic and business sectors and have taught English in schools, language centers, and university extension programs. I began delivering corporate training (in-house training) in 1994 and teacher training in 1997. (Outlines of self-made courses, seminars, and workshops can be provided upon request.)
I have always enjoyed very positive relationships with learners of all ages and have gained their respect through commitment to their academic or professional development. Both a realistic approach and a fun-loving attitude, combined with my businesslike, hard-working style, have proved successful in gaining their cooperation.
As office administrator I have facilitated work for my employers through accurate perception of their goals. As teacher/trainer I have set up entire study programs based on effective needs assessments and have also successfully trained junior secretaries and young teachers. With more than three decades of life and work in a war-torn country as well as voluntary undertaking of challenging teaching/training assignments, I have developed much resilience, resourcefulness, and understanding.
I am seeking employment that would welcome my experience and multi-cultured background and a team that would support my genuine efforts and willingness to learn more. A personal meeting would provide me with the opportunity to answer any further inquiries you may have.
