I have practical experience working with students from ages 5-11, but I am capable of tutoring students studying at GCSE and A Level also. As a younger tutor, I have the advantage of having recently gone through GCSE/A Level examinations (receiving As in English Literature), and therefore have an understanding of the techniques needed to not only pass, but achieve the best grade possible. I also understand better than most the pressure of school examinations, and therefore take a fun and confidence boosting approach to lessons.
Furthermore, I am incredibly respectful of all cultures, religions, sexualities and gender identities - I am particularly familiar with Muslim culture and etiquette, being of Bengali heritage myself.
My family have always been proud advocates of quality education - my grandmother founded a charity that supports the education of girls in Bangladesh but also families in the UK, particularly those of poorer backgrounds. Thus, I aim to create an equally inclusive and open minded atmosphere for my students to learn in.
I am a second year English Literature and Creative Writing student and aspiring author at Manchester Metropolitan University. I have a great passion for my subject, and previous experience working as a class assistant - I wish to give students a confidence boosting experience, as well as help with essay writing and exam prep.
