I approach each topic, first, on the basis at which the student may first understand it, aiming to establish some immediate confidence in their own knowledge. From this I hope to understand the student, how they personally approach the topic and their own learning, meaning I am more easily able to tailor their lessons to suit their learning. I believe it is vital to understand the way in which I may guide a student, my aim being that they remain, ultimately, independently driven and increasingly confident in their own ability.
I am a graduate of Newcastle University, having studied English Literature, French, Music and Classics for my undergraduate degree. I have experience in musical tuition as well as in proof reading at a university level. I have great experience with young children and am confident in my communication. Having studied literature for the whole of my academic career, being able to provide a student with the necessary assistance to strengthen their confidence in approaching literature on an academic level is something I consider to be very rewarding and worthwhile.
A bright and personable student who can work confidently with new challenges. Reliable, adaptable and willing to learn. Proven ability to work in a team and also as a leader. Punctual, has initiative and is not afraid of responsibility. Musical.
