Methodology

My teaching methods vary depending on the way the student best retains the information. I usually encourage mindmaps and organised note-taking as well as providing thorough explanations and discussions to help break down theories and ideas. If there is a specific method that works for you, I am happy to explore it to ensure you receive the best possible results.

Background

I am currently studying for my BA English Degree and I specialise in the study of literature. I am able to provide tuition for GCSE [lang] and A-level literature as well as a basic level for Drama and Theatre studies for both GCSE and A-levels. I have experience in tutoring large groups for GCSE Drama and Theatre studies as well as private 1:1 tuition for KS1/2 Maths and English.

Rate for online lessons : £15/h
Rate for 5 hours of lessons : £65
Rate for 10 hours of lessons : £140

Details

Currently based in Coventry, however I frequently travel back to London.

Coventry:
-If lesson is cancelled less than 24 hours before, it will still be full price
-If lesson is cancelled within 48 hours before, it will be half
-If lesson is cancelled anytime before the above, there will be no charge.

London:
Until April, I have to travel to London, therefore a travel fee would be added for cancelled lessons (£12)
-If lesson is cancelled less than 24 hours before, it will still be full price (+£12)

July-September 2015: Botwell Green Library
During the summer, I worked as a volunteer for the summer reading challenge at my local library. My daily tasks included promoting new challenges and signing members of the public up to the programme. I assisted various activities including, afternoon reading sessions, petting animals from local sanctuary and a variety of arts and crafts activities. Other tasks included restocking the bookshelf, managing deliveries, working with the public, using a specialised system and the cash register.
