I base my classes around specific texts, catering to the students needs, focused around close reading and interpretation. I would produce small presentations for each student focusing on their specific needs so maximum learning can be achieved through my tutoring. I can provide general literarcy and grammar teaching if needed also.
I am an English Literature (BA Honours) student studying at Queen Mary University of London, about to enter my third and final year of my degree. I have studied a range of texts spanning from the early modern period to the modernist revolution of the early 20th century. I also hold a basic knowledge of philosophical texts.
O2 Academy Islington – March 2017 – May 2017
I am currently working part-time on zero hours contract as a bartender at the O2 Academy in Islington. Along with being a bar tender, my responsibilities include running the cloakroom and partaking in clean ups after events. Bar work at O2 is fast passed and is done under a lot of pressure, so it is important I keep my cool and do not break under stress. Working at a variety of club nights and gigs, I have encountered a wide range of people due to the variety of people that are catered for by these events.
Ede and Ravenscroft – July 2016 -
During the month of July last year, I worked for Ede and Ravenscroft at Nottingham Trent University. I worked mainly with the students graduating, dressing them in their graduation robes then collecting and organising the robes at the end of each day. Working with the students helped me gain social skills as I would have to interact with a variety of individuals, supplying them with their needed graduation robes, while also making them feel comfortable. I was also one of the team members involved in the collection of the robes at the end of each day, so I am used to working under pressure while making sure things are organised and placed in the correct areas.
McDonalds – January 2016 – March 2016

Apart from my studies, I have a passion of experiencing live music in all of its forms – especially supporting the unsigned music scene within London. I am also part of the equality party within QMUL, which strives to create equality for all students within the university. I also have a love for reading which has been with me throughout my whole life. I am interested in a wide variety of books, both fiction and non-fiction, which prompt me to be open minded and widen my field of learning. My other hobbies include exercising and yoga in my free time. I also have experience with data entry and managing date within a digital format, as my technology skills are moderately advanced.
