English Tutor based in London, published author with MA and BA (Hons) in English

Methodology

I get to know my students before I begin tutoring them. This way I can effectively work with them. My lesson structures are logical. I also tailor my lessons to support individual students who require extra support or to enable them to be challenged in their learning.

Background

I am a short story author and poet. I was also a Secondary English teacher for one year and prior to that, a Humanities teaching assistant in a Secondary school for two years. I form strong relationships with my students because I am warm, accessible, caring, passionate and disciplined, which is also why they excel in this subject.
As well as having an MA and BA (Hons) in English and Film Studies, I also have experience in teaching adult literacy .
