I normally tutor students from primary school up to GCSE level.
I like to first spend time understanding the student finding out; how they work; their weaknesses; their strengths and what other commitments they have in terms of work. From this information, I normally draw out a schedule that we try to stick to which states which subjects we will work on and in what order.
I always leave some time for extra questions and concerns, to ensure the student is confident about the work we are doing together.
I have recently graduated from Kings College London with an English BA (Upper Second Class Honors)
In three years, I have tutored English and History to GCSE Students who gained the following grades: A*/A/B.
During University, I was involved with mentoring first-year students on any help and advice they needed. This was predominately based on essay writing and exam techniques.
As part of mentoring for 'SHINE' an organization that helps underprivileged children, I was able to mentor children from the age of 5 to 11 for two years.
