I am a passionate and enthusiastic university student and greatly enjoy helping others to achieve the best possible understanding and performance in biology. Having taught gymnastics to children between the ages of 2 and 15 for the past few years I have a good understanding of communication with children and how to cater each lesson to the individual. I shape each tutoring lesson around the subjects you feel you need particular help with and will provide practice questions throughout to ensure you understand each concept. I refer to online resources which can help aid knowledge and also use my personal experience with exams to give subject specific revision advice.
I am a first year undergraduate at the university of Exeter, with an A* Biology A level and an A* in biology at GCSE level. I am an enthuisiastic and friendly individual with a love of helping others and would love to help you achieve the best mark possible.
I am a hard working and highly motivated individual in my first year studying psychology at the University of Exeter. My studies have taught me vital skills for the work place and have developed my knowledge and understanding of many different subjects as shown below.
Communication skills - strong communication skills both oral and written. I am able to communicate with a wide range of people, shown through my ability to work with children at the gym club I teach at, as well as their parents.
Teamwork - developed through group projects in school and challenges such as the Jersey Student Leadership challenge which I completed twice, working with two different groups of people to set up a business and maximise profits.
Languages - GCSE level French and asset level 6 in Spanish.
IT and Technical Skills - I am competent in the use of most computer applications with advance SPSS knowledge and have experience with cash register systems.
Organisation and Leadership - I created a year 7 lunchtime club to support year 7’s and I organise and ran this club every week throughout my time at college. I also spent a year as head of my house at college, putting me in-charge of 100 students.

I am extremely interested in the care and teaching of children which is why I work as a gymnastics teacher during the holidays; I absolutely love the opportunity it gives me to communicate with the children and develop my interpersonal skills, whilst seeing them excel and have fun. I also love doing gymnastics and have competed in over 30 competitions both in Jersey and representing Jersey in the UK, qualifying for a British final at the age of 11. I have recently had to put this on hold due to workload at school but I enjoy keeping fit through yoga, pilates and swimming, along with dancing regularly. I also love to play the piano and have a keen interest in textiles. I really love a challenge and enjoy problem solving in both an educational context, through my challenging A Level choices, but also in real life. Through my role as a House Captain at JCG I had to do a lot of problem solving as people would drop out of a house event just hours before it took place and I would be left having to sort it out and save the day!
