I like to have personal lessons with the student where they tell me what they struggle with and what they feel more confident with, and focus mainly on what they struggle with and helping them with that area, whilst also going over the content they feel more happy with in order for them to have a well rounded knowledge of the subject.
I achieved A* in both GCSE History and Philosophy and A levels in both subjects too. I am passionate about the subjects and want to help others feel more confident within their knowledge of either subject. I think goals are relative, so wether a student is aiming for an A* or that C pass grade, they are both of equal importance.
Academic results:
-10 A*-C’s at GCSE including Maths and English
- 3 A levels in History, Philosophy and Photography
- Studying Criminology at University of Liverpool
Personal attributes:
Working from age from the age of 14 taught me new skills early on, such as working as a team to achieve a group goal and making customers feel comfortable and at ease in order for them to have a positive experience. Face to face work showed me that serving and pleasing clients whilst remaining courteous and professional was strength of mine. I furthered this strength when waitressing, which taught me more verbal and written communication skills. In such a fast paced environment, problem solving skills also became vital, as well as working under pressure. I also believe I have good self motivation and ability to take initiative. I am always looking to further and better my skills and learn new things.
