Unorthodox. I feel that building an understanding between myself and the class is the most important thing. Once we've established that understanding and they know the rules, the teaching can then take place. I am firm but fair. My simple rule is: When I'm talking, you don't because when I'm talking, it means I am saying something important for the lesson. I like to express my passion for the subject in my lessons in the hope that my passion rubs off onto the students.
My background has always been in mathematics. From an A* in A-levels to a Bachelors degree in mathematics, it's safe to say I am very passionate about the subject. I am currently a maths teacher at a secondary school. My second home is the gym. Fitness is a big motivator for me and it allows me to maintain a physically conditioned body and a mentally strong mind. In terms of tuition, I have some experience from university when I tutored first year maths students whilst I was in my final year of study.
