I am a young enthusiastic tutor who can adapt and is confident in teaching all levels! I am looking to tutor students at any level of their Mathematics journey!
I have Scottish qualifications but can easily adapt to tutor English equivalent classes. My methods of teaching mainly focus around letting the student come to the answer themselves with clues instead of giving answers as I believe that this is the best way to learn!
I am a mathematics graduate (University of Edinburgh, Bsc (Hons)) and I graduated with a First-Class degree.
I received high A's in all school level Mathematics courses (Intermediate 2, Higher and Advanced Higher).
I have also had experience with mathematics teaching throughout my degree by volunteering as an assistant in underprivileged schools in Edinburgh.
I have also worked as a swimming teacher for nearly 6 years so am very confident in making lessons fun whilst also making sure targets are met!

Oct 2014 to Sept 2016: Swim Teacher, Kingfisher Swim School, Glasgow
I have worked as a swimming teacher at two private swim schools, teaching children of all ages to swim in a friendly environment, ensuring they are enjoying their lessons whilst also learning essential skills. I have to communicate with parents, which I thoroughly enjoy as I am comfortable meeting and communicating with people. I plan lessons, which means I have to be innovative and organised, combining the swim school’s needs whilst making the lessons exciting for the pupils.
July 2014/15/16: Play Worker, Special Needs Adventure Playground (SNAP)
SNAP is a special needs play scheme where my role as a play worker was to take care of the children whilst they participated in various activities, ensuring that their needs were always met. Caring for the children required a high standard of work and initiative which I always strived to achieve.
