I base my classes on the syllabus the student is studying so AQA, Edexcel etc.
We practice past papers as well as look at techniques to help them ace their exams. I have a good understanding of books on the syllabus so we select quotations to learn for unseen exams.
I am originally from Kingston Upon Thames and I have a degree in English and Drama from Sussex university. I specialised in Gothic Literature, Jane Austen and Shakespeare for my for my degree
I also have a masters in acting from Drama Studio London which is in the conference of top Drama schools in London. It includes alumni like Emily Watson and Forest Whittaker. The course improved my confidence, vocally trained me and made me a better actor and public speaker. I believe it is vital to have some sort of drama experience to build your confidence and group work skills.
I have been coaching drama privately through LAMDA and I teach at the rose theatre in Kingston. I have been directing shows for a year. These vary from Treasure Island, Alice in Wonderland and one show devised around the political progression of the 1960’s.
I have been tutoring GCSE and A Level English Literature and Language for over a year in Surrey.
I have been told I am very approachable and my style of teaching is clear and fun.
I think it is important to keep the client calm and make sure they feel they can do their best work. I enjoy working with students to fulfill their goals and to attain the grade they desire.
