My main Teaching style, I would have to say, is mainly relaxed and less formal than in a classroom, however, appropriate boundaries between Teacher and pupil are always paramount. I believe that children learn best in a less formal atmosphere where they can experience learning how it was meant to be taught, through doing. Essentially, this comes under the branch of experiential learning, meaning that children learn best when they are actively involved in their own learning. Obviously, however, my learning style can and will be adapted to every child's needs.
My name is Ryan and I am currently studying the BA QTS Primary Teaching course at Liverpool Hope. This course means that I have studied all of the Primary Curriculum subjects and am able to undertake and teach various lessons and have resources ready to fit and teach to your Child's needs. I have experience of teaching my own class through this course and have received various, very positive observations on the lessons I have planned, taught and delivered.
I have also worked as a Teaching Assistant in a Primary School both in a whole class and on 1-1 basis with a child with Special Educational Needs, therefore I have lots of experience working with and teaching children of all abilities and backgrounds, and getting the best out of any child that I work with.
I have passed the Qualified Teacher Status pre-examinations in both English and Mathematics which are the benchmark for any successful tutor/teacher to aim to pass. I also hold a full Paediatric First Aid qualification as well as being Team Teach trained.
I am a firm believer in actions speaking much louder than words. The experiences that I have had in my life have opened my eyes to the wider world. I realise that I need to always strive for the best for not just myself but for the people I come into contact with, as something as simple as smile can alter anyone’s path. I believe It is key to be focused, to communicate, to work on your own and as a team, as without these attributes a positive environment cannot be fostered.
