I aim to eradicate the misconception that science is a dull and difficult subject. I teach the subject with great enthusiasm and try to link all subjects to real world scenarios so students can link what they are learning to what they see around them.
I believe private tutoring should strongly reflect the needs of the student so I aim to create an open dialogue with whoever I am teaching to understand what topics they have struggled with most / would like to revise again.
I believe it is very important for students to perfect their exam technique in order to achieve their potential; therefore, I aim to use past paper questions whenever possible.
I am a Science teacher at Norton Hill school. I graduated from Lancaster University (a UK top 10 university) in 2014 with a 2:1 in Biological Sciences. I have experience of teaching biology at A level (both As and A2) and for AQA separate science. I have experience of teaching biology, chemistry and physics at GCSE combined sciences and at KS3.
About me - I am 25 years old from Northern Ireland. I lived in Spain for two years teaching English and learning a new language. I trained to teach in Cornwall where I qualified as an 'outstanding teacher'. I play rugby in my spare time and travel often during the holidays.
