Methodology

Assessing students’ learning is very important, to make sure every student leaves the classroom with what they should have learnt. During my work experience, I have been able to try different AFL techniques to assess students learning such as questioning, think-pair-share, traffic lights, thumbs up/down and post-it notes, where students were asked to write down what they have learnt, what they found very easy and what they found very difficult/need more help on.
As a business studies/Finance teacher, being familiar with and using ICT is essential. During university I studied a module called ‘Data Analysis’, which improved my computing skills further. I also attended two different ICT and Computing sessions to enhance my lessons with interactive white boards, the Internet, videos, voice and sound clips, digital cameras, interactive games, and work sheets. In my placement schools I have taken part in number of sessions and meetings such as parents’ evening, staff meetings, INSET days and school visits which enabled me to develop my knowledge as a trainee teacher.

Experience

A driven postgraduate in Business as well as Financial Studies. I also hold an International Business MA at the University of Greenwich and a BAH in Business with Finance. I currently speak two languages which are fluent French and English.

PERSONAL PROFILE OF- INSPIRING TEACHER
I am a driven Postgraduate with master’s degree in International Business and a PGCE in Secondary Business Education. I can speak two different languages other than fluent English which are fluent French, and intermediate Spanish. In a working environment I enjoy new challenges and working under pressure as I believe the harder the goal the more exciting it is, whether it is on my own or as a team. Due to the fact that working with others allows me to possibly learn new ways of doing things as well as helping others with my knowledge. Working as team leader managing a team of 5 people really sought out my leadership skills, and enabled me to carry out tasks required by my employers effectively. I would greatly enjoy partaking in any teaching opportunities and make use of my strong academic career towards teaching. I would love to teach because I like the opportunity to share my knowledge with pupils. As well as, help them learn something new everyday that will help progress them on to a successful academic career and enable them to pursue their dreams and life goals.

Key skills
• Team player- The personal skill I possess is being a resourceful team player and this is important when it comes to being a client account manager, as the world of work has taught me how important your team is and keeping a good relation with your peers by a friendly, charming, tolerant and customer oriented character. As on day to day basis you have to perform well as a group in order to take the business into new and higher heights, especially when it comes to good customer service or simply achieving higher revenues than competitors.

• Social Skills- Having good social skills in the world of work is very important, as I believe due to my experience working as a Team leader you have to be able to communicate better with colleagues or customers in order to get the work done constructively. As I am very sociable inside and outside of the work place which is important for a client account manager as its deals with a lot of relationship management.

• High quality interpersonal and communication Skills- From my work experience, I have gained further knowledge on how to communicate better with customers, by possibly asking “How can I help?”, “Is there anything I can help you with Sir/Madam” can go a long way when it comes to increase sales of products. Due to the fact that consumers feel more welcome to shop further in the business. This part of having excellent communication skills, excellent verbal and written English and this is very useful for a Client account management.
LANGUAGES
Fluent French and English with intermediate Spanish.

INTEREST
In my spare time, what I really enjoy is fundraising for charities like participating in friendly football matches on weekly basics. Also, I like competitive sport as part of my fundraising activities in order to stimulate the mind. From Football Tournaments to door to door charity fund raising, such as for the Muslim Brothers Charity in Uganda and exceeded the initial target set.
ACHIEVEMENTS
• Winner of the University of Greenwich’s World’s Water presentation 2014 Sponsored by Thames Water.
• Highest grade in Ifs Financial Studies (Unit 3 Exam) at Oasis Hadley Academy, Second in the UK.
