I am a registered children’s nurse on the NMC register. I have been qualified since September 2013 and have vast range of experience as a Paediatric Nurse, working in acute, community and critical care settings. Along side this I’m a qualified practice mentor.
I am a registered children’s nurse on the NMC register and I have been qualified since September 2013, I have worked in acute, critical care and community settings. I have one and half years’ experience as a children’s accident and emergency nurse, before moving onto the role of paediatric intensive care nurse where I worked for three and half years. Alongside these roles I have worked as an Agency nurse in a wide range of general, critical and community paediatric areas. I am capable of ensure the provision of high quality, safe and effective care to acutely unwell and critically sick patients from neonates to children and young adults as well as their families. In doing this I am able to carry out full assessment, high intensity treatments and demonstrate continuous pro-active management of patients under my supervision regardless of level of care they require. I have undertaken various study days and courses this includes Paediatric Life Support, medication management training, Organ donation conference and the Intensive Care Nursing orientation program. I have the ability adapt to new surroundings and the different demands and difficulties that is required of me. As the United Kingdom is a diverse and inclusive culture, I have established experiences in caring for and also respecting children and families from numerous philosophies and ethnic upbringings. I have demonstrated abilities in critical, acute and emergency patient care, teamwork as well as leadership, development of learners and I take an active role in patient advocacy. My professional career I feel shows a continuous ability to link evidence based practice to the care of the critically ill patient in, at times stressful environments.
