My approach is adaptable and empathetic, and each session will be personalised to match your needs, background, learning style and goals. I like to start each lesson with some examples related to the topic we are covering, then I cover the theory behind the topic as required. Closer to exam time I find working through past papers very effective.
I combine excellent subject knowledge and strong communication skills with a warm personality that puts my students at ease and helps them make the most of our sessions. I have experience both tutoring one-on-one and teaching larger groups, having been solely responsible for the teaching of the AQA Level 2 Certificate in Further Mathematics to a group of younger students during high school.
I have A*s in Maths/Futher Maths at A level and I am on track for a First Class degree. I have a Mathematics Olympiad background, and so I am able to provide support and guidance for the UKMT Challenges and the Mathematical Olympiads, for those who wish to go beyond the standard syllabus and strengthen their university application.
I recently completed my A levels, so I am intimately familiar with both the A level syllabuses and the particular associated challenges.
I am 23 years old and graduated from the University of Leeds with a First in mathematics in 2020.
