I am an enthusiastic and friendly primary school teacher who takes serious responsibility for my students' learning but while taking the time to understand my students and make a fun and engaging learning experience. My lessons will be differentiated around my students' needs and abilities.
I believe that students are responsible for their learning just as much as teachers are. This fuels my lessons to be child-centered and encourages my students to be actively involved in their lessons, allowing more exploration and independence in their own learning.
My lessons are structured with a starter to assess my students' current knowledge; the main activity introducing what we are learning and the modelling of the new topic, and a plenary to assess the children's understanding of the new topic.
I am a 23 year old university graduate with a BA Honours in Primary Education with a Masters’ of Science degree in Child Psychology and experience teaching compulsory & foundation curricular subjects in key stage 1 & 2.
I have had extensive exposure to schools in Birmingham & London, where I have taught children from Nursery level to 11 years old. I have delivered engaging yet challenging learning experiences in the classroom; implemented successful behaviour management techniques and developed influential rapports with children.
I believe that with my experience and academic skills, I can encourage and support children to reach their full potential in their studies.
My name is Shereen Gordon and I am a graduate student with a masters’ degree in Child Psychology and a BA Honours in Primary Education. I also have a musical background as I play the clarinet and am part of an orchestra. I teach primary school children from KS1 - KS2 in academic and foundation subjects such as English, Maths, Science, and Music.
My teaching techniques involve opportunities for interaction and inclusivity where children with different abilities are able to benefit and learn from the lessons that I teach.
I evaluate and reflect on children's progress throughout my lessons so that the next lessons address any misconceptions that my students may be facing and I am always determined to make my lessons enjoyable as well as engaging.
