About the lesson
I am very friendly, patient, and directive. I encourage my students to push themselves and I help them to do this at their own pace, perceptively tailoring my approach to work with the personality of the individual.
I have tutored a number of students of various ages online and in person, from complete beginners to being quite skilled already, but just needing that extra push / guidance either personally or with their studies.
I usually like to conduct lessons over Zoom as it allows for the whiteboard, annotate and share screen functionality which enables us to visually communicate what we are describing. I also like to set up a second screen for the meeting and draw / paint along with my student so that I can demonstrate what I am describing for them and create more of a fun, interactive learning experience.
I also encourage my students to feel free to contact me between lessons for any questions or to send an update of their progress; I like to keep up with my students outside of lesson time to help them stay on track with their goals.
If you have a general interest in Art and want to learn the basics, or you have a specific artistic goal you would like to achieve, from working towards a certain qualification (Primary, GCSE, IGCSE & A level), learning / improving use with a specific medium, drawing / painting a particular subject, I am here to help you!
I am very flexible with booking lessons, and I'm happy to go with shorter or longer lessons, booking on the day/day before, and even weeks in advance for students who like to book lessons randomly.
For students who prefer a more structured routine, I can be available on a weekly basis at an agreed time as well.
Just drop me a message to discuss your needs and I'm always happy to be flexible according to your preferred learning style, schedule and other commitments.

About Noor
I have been obsessively drawing and painting for as long as I can remember, since I was a child and for most of my life! I studied Art for both GCSE (A*) and A Level (A) then studied BSc Architecture at the University of Reading (2:1).
I have also been involved in teaching / mentoring roles and positions (both in official roles and for volunteering) since my teenage years, so I have lots of experience with breaking down complex topics into less intimidating and more fun bite-sized chunks of content.
I want students to enjoy learning, and my lessons are a reflection of that. I always look for creative ways to make the lessons fun and interactive so students stay engaged and learn as much as possible.
The way I see it, most of us as are visual creatures. Therefore, I strongly believe Art serves an important purpose as a powerful connecting force globally. Not to mention, the inherently meditative nature of creating Artworks in itself makes it a very relaxing and fulfilling skill if you take enough time to get to know it.
I offer commissions and freelance artwork / design services for companies and private clients. I also have experience volunteering as a teaching assistant in Art and other subject lessons, and experience tutoring and mentoring students on a 1-to-1 basis at Primary, GCSE and A Level stages.

Perfect! I like that she is able to stream also from her phone and show her drawing so I can see the process of drawing and understand better.
- Noor's response : Marcelo is very focused and dedicated, sometimes even proactively pushing further ahead and surpassing the pace of the lesson meaning we need to adapt our approach to match his impressive learning pace! Marcelo is also very friendly, easy to get along with and speak to, and flexible with organising lessons which is much appreciated. He is not afraid to set a challenging goal and work patiently towards it over time, and I am looking forward to seeing his drawing skills progress even further as we work towards his goals! :)
Perfect! Feedback from 9 y.o. student's mum:
After my daughter suddenly expressed interest in drawing, I started looking for a teacher. We tried few lessons with few tutors and I'm grateful we found Noor!
Noor is a fantastic tutor! My daughter is really enjoying her lessons with Noor. She's looking forward to each lesson and she comes out of every lesson with a great feeling of accomplishment. She feels inspired and is encouraged with her own progress. I like the way Noor is communicating, she's diligent, professional and kind, gets on very well with my daughter. I can see the progress my daughter is making, but more importantly, I can see her becoming more and more interested in drawing. Maybe this will become her passion, who knows ))
Feedback directly from a 9 y.o. student:
Noor is really nice and she always asks me how I would do it instead of making a decision on her own first.- Noor's response : Olya has a very keen eye for detail, and she is a very fast learner. She can sometimes get distracted but she quickly gets back to the task at hand. There could be some room for improvement in terms of her ability to accurately perceive overall proportions of things, as well as working on her confidence so that she doesn't focus too much on how the drawing looks during the process and erasing too much as no drawing looks beautiful at every stage of the process! However, this can take time to improve on and she is already making very fast progress since her first lesson! I'm looking forward to continue helping her develop her skill and technique. Overall, she is a star and should be very proud of herself!
Perfect! Noor was very engaging and personable making me feel comfortable right from the start.
Listening to what I wanted out of my lessons and then helped me work on an existing drawing I am working on.
Noor was clear, professional and instructive in a very gentle, passive and encouraging way. I felt we were working together and totally understood the method, more importantly the reasoning. She has a great way of conveying what she wants. I was sad when the lesson came to an end - I was so inspired- Noor's response : Sharon is wonderful! Super friendly, funny and easy to teach and get along with. She provided a clear, thorough outline of what she wants out of tutoring which made our first lesson a breeze. She is also very talented and independently took the lead on implementing the advice given in the lesson with confidence, whilst also discussing and taking guidance on board throughout. I very much appreciate her flexibility with arranging lessons as well and I really look forward to future lessons together and helping Sharon to reach her artistic goals!

I had Noor as my GCSE Fine Art tutor since the start of Yr11 and she has been incredibly helpful and supportive along the way in helping me achieve my grade 8. She has given me excellent advice and guidance in conveying and presenting my ideas as well as artistic techniques. I would highly recommend her to other students.
Noor is lovely! She's extremely talented artistically and patiently encouraging as a tutor; she makes me feel at ease and explains the drawing techniques in a clear, concise way. I can see myself improving already after just a few lessons :)
