Methodology

Hello! My name is Valentini, I am a musician, singer and vocal tutor with a BMus (Hons Distinction) in Music Performance & Production from London Centre of Contemporary Music (LCCM).

I offer both one to one sessions and group workshops.

Vocal coaching sessions are tailored to suit the individual's goals and abilities. I am an enthusiastic, outgoing and creative teacher and very passionate about teaching students of all ages and abilities - whether it be introducing you to the joy of music for the first time, or helping to develop your existing skills to the next level.

In a friendly and relaxed environment, my lessons combine the enjoyment of singing with technical pursuits and are an even mix of technique, repertoire, musicality and performance.

More specifically, the classes can cover a wide range of areas including:

Breathing, Posture & Support
Power, Projection
Articulation & Diction
Vocal Colour, Tone and Musicality
Performance Coaching (stage presence, stage fright, improving confidence, storytelling)
Music Theory
Sight Singing
Entrance exam & audition preparation
Repertoire building - variety of styles musical theatre, jazz, pop, rock, folk, soul, blues, funk
Microphone Technique
Freeing up the voice
Extending vocal range
Conquering pitch and rhythm issues
Smoothing out the transition between chest voice and head voice
Developing your mix
Agility, which includes "licks", "riffing", "ad-libbing" etc.

Lessons can be enriched further with piano lessons for beginners, for the students to be able to accompany themselves when singing.

Lessons can take place in my home studio or to the students home (travel charge might apply, please contact me for more details).

I currently give lessons in my home studio in SW17 but I'm also happy to travel to students' homes.
