Experienced English GCSE teacher with 9 years experience offering friendly tutoring in the North East
Methodology
I can give lessons to anyone aged 11 or over; in particular, I work well with people who are struggling, as I have a patient, friendly nature and love to help students make progress. I like to work with students to identify areas of development and create resources to help scaffold the student and rapidly encourage progress.
My lessons will be tailored to the student and will start with some input and modelling of a task by me before scaffolded independent work and feedback within the session.
Furthermore, I will provide work to be completed between sessions and can be available via email or text.
Experience
I am an English teacher in a secondary school teaching GCSE language and literature. I have been teaching for nine years and tutoring for two years. I also mark for AQA for English Language, so I have an excellent understanding of this particular qualification. I have a degree in English Education and I am working towards my MA in Education.
