Experienced, friendly and creative tutor, ideal for worriers! Maths, English, Exam Technique
Methodology
Students are expected to jump through hoops to achieve good grades in their exams, which is the cause of lots of exam stress and anxiety. I work with each student as an individual to build their knowledge and help them to get a deeper understanding of the topic. Once they have all the knowledge they need, I work together with them to find the best exam technique, to make things much easier and take as much of the factor of the unknown out of exams as possible.
Experience
Hi, I'm Amy. I have recently completed my BA (Hons) at the University of East Anglia. My priority is helping students to gain all the skill sets and knowledge they need, while teaching them in a laid-back, flexible environment that is tailored to their individual style of learning. This is ideal for those who suffer with anxiety around school and exams. I am available to tutor in person or online, depending on availability and location.
All of my GCSE students who collected their results in 2018 exceeded their target grades, with many of them improving by two or more grades from when we began lessons.
I have also designed the Functional Skills Maths and English courses for Apprenticeship programmes within national businesses.
Lessons can take place at the student's home or at Caffe Nero, Chiswick High Road.
