My approach to tutoring is based on an active form of teaching. I tailor my sessions to the student's level. My goal is for the student to engage with the subject and even enjoy it, even if before it was causing stress and anxiety. A serious emphasis is placed on the structure and content of the exam in question. I structure my tutorials so that relevant past exam questions are always an integral part of learning.
I completed my MSc in Economics (International economics) at the University of Geneva. I did my bachelor studies in Economics and Mathematics at the American University in Bulgaria with a Cum Laude.
I also studied Econometrics at the LSE as a short-course where I scored a first (A+ equivalent) and ranked at the top of class.
I have been teaching under the supervision of a multi-award winning lecturer. Part of my role is carrying out grading which has given me a deep understanding on how one needs to structure answers to exams/assignments to maximise their performance.
Modules I've tutored at the LSE:
MA107 - Quantitative Methods (Mathematics)
ST107 - Quantitative Methods (Statistics)
MA207 - Further Quantitative Methods
ST201 - Statistical Models and Data Analysis
MG205 - Econometrics: Theory and Applications
Master level courses (GMiM programme)
MG431 - Managerial Economics
Modules I've tutored at the UCL:
ECON0004 - Applied Econometrics
ECON0005 - Statistical Methods in Economics
ECON0010 - Mathematics for Economics
ECON0013 - Microeconomics
I have also successfully helped undergraduate students at KLC, University of Bath, University of Warwick etc.
While the first hour is not free you do not have to pay for it if you decide not to continue working with me. You only pay if you are thrilled to continue and learn with me.
Please note that all my prices are exclusive of VAT which will be chargeable if a student is taking lessons from the UK/EU. It will not apply for online lessons when a student is outside the UK/EU area.
The first four hours are guaranteed at the quoted special price. The specific rates, usually significantly higher, for additional hours are to be agreed upon depending on course difficulty, my availability etc. These rates are set by my employer, a leading economics tuition agency in London.
Perfect! Ledia's methodology is based on asking me a lot of questions, and filling in the gaps that I have. It feels like I am having a conversation with her while my skills improve so quickly. It has been very enjoyable to work with her. I highly recommend her.
Perfect! Ledia is an excellent tutor. I feel super confident with her and has made my learning process a joy. Thank you Ledia.
Ledia helped me with statistics coursework. We worked for two months together and during this time I made incredible progress. I recommend her 100%.
Ledia has everything that makes a perfect tutor, she is passionate about teaching, very caring for her students, and knows the subject inside out. I've known Ledia for several years now and I can confidently recommend her to anyone who needs to advance their studies while feeling comfortable and at ease.
Having taught myself at both the LSE and Oxford, I can confidently say that Ledia can deliver best-in-class tutorials. I have known Ledia for a long time and worked closely with her on a professional capacity, I have witnessed up-close the passion and dedication with which she teaches. Ledia is driven by an enthusiasm to share her knowledge and make information accessible to anyone that is curious about a topic. She prepares extensively for every session she teaches, and what strikes me is how detail oriented she is to an individual student’s needs. Always willing to go the extra mile to support others in their learning.
