When I teach Spanish, I like to make sure certain basics (pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar) are understood by learners as soon as possible, in what we might call an academic approach. In particular I stimulate my students to learn a certain amount of words per lesson, a fundamental requirements when learning a language. But I am equally open to more flexible approaches, adapting my teaching style and curricula to the students' differences. Above all I strongly believe in reaching out to students, constantly talking to them, understanding what they know and what they don't and therefore deciding the best way to learn. I like students to see me as someone to ask questions, to share doubts, to comment anything relevant, or even to just have a chat.
I am a professional linguist, working in English, Italian and Spanish. I hold a BA and 2 postgraduates in translation. In my job, I transport words and sentences from one language to another; I have the highest proficiency in all aspects of the Spanish language, the grammar, the pronunciation, the vocabulary, the formal and informal usage, the differences from country to country.
