The type of meditation I teach is called ‘meditation on the natural breath’ and is a traditional form of meditation based on ancient practices. However, I have to add that although this may be connected historically to Buddha and also yoga, this is a non-religious, non-yogic practice and is for anyone who would like to learn. That is a strong belief of mine – that meditation should be open to all regardless of religion, age or spiritual belief. It uses an objective, scientific methodology.
There is quite a lot of theory that accompanies the practical in the class, which covers topics such as the history of this type of meditation, how the meditation works, the details of the technique, techniques that help with concentration and relaxation, dealing with the challenges of meditation and why the breath is chosen to focus on.
After finding the benefits of meditation myself, I wanted to pass it on to others so that they could benefit from what is essentially a simple technique. There are so many benefits to meditation, which have now been proven by science. Also the fact that meditation has been practiced for so long through the ages and is a way of life for many are strong testimonials in themselves.
There is more information about the type of meditation I teach and about myself on my website (concealed information)
I teach private clients - individuals on a one-to-one basis and groups. The classes I teach develop the meditation technique each week to give students the ability to deepen their meditation and to experience tranquility and peacefulness.
