I am an experienced tutor of Italian, German and English as a foreign language, with a Master’s degree with distinction (110/110 magna cum laude) in Modern Languages, issued by the University of Turin, Italy. I hold a TIAFL 'Teaching Italian as a foreign language' certificate from the Italian Cultural Institute, London.
I use my experience to develop engaging lesson plans, aiming at awaking students' interest and motivation. My communicative approach enables students to develop confidence in the language quickly and to use the language effectively in a variety of situations. In particular, I often use games, songs and authentic materials such as films or newspaper articles, so that my students can come into contact with relevant cultural aspects related to each language.
I have been tutoring students with different origins and backgrounds, both in person and online. In particular, I have been teaching German and Italian to KS3, GCSE, IB students and adult learners. Furthermore, I have been collaborating with some institutes (London Waterloo Academy, Westminster Academy) both as a volunteer tutor and on a paid basis.
My current students are attending South Hampstead High School, Sherborne School, King Edward VI Grammar School, Forest Independent School, Fine Arts College, Henrietta Barnett school, Bancrofts School, Caterham School, Hockerill Anglo-European College, Woodbridge High School, Trinity Catholic High School and Sacred Heart of Mary Girls’ School. I am have been teaching both German and Italian to some managing directors of the UniCredit Bank in central London.
I am a passionate teacher committed to raise children’s achievements and help them improve their grades: all my German GCSE students got an A or an A* in their final exams in June 2016.
