Have you got a child with ADHD or autism?I am passionate about supporting neurodiverse children reach their potential.
I have ADHD myself, have raised neurodiverse children of my own and have worked with many students who need support to overcome executive functioning struggles.
Being neurodiverse brings blessings as well as struggles. I teach students ( and parents) about how our brains work. For newly -diagnosed children, I explain what the diagnosis means and welcome them to my gang! I believe that the emotional well-being of neurodiverse children is paramount and I encourage them to be proud of their different brains. The fact that I have ADHD myself means that I can be a positive role model and make.'inside' jokes.begin by getting to know the student and observe the areas they struggle with. I also speak to the parents so that I can find out what issues are arising at school ( or in home - schooling). I then design a 10 week intervention programme based on the areas identified. Ideally a parent observes all the sessions so that they can continue the strategies throughout the week and we work in partnership. As no two neurodiverse people are the same, the programme differs from student to student but may include exercises to improve working memory, emotional regulation strategies, organisational tools or language development.
Qualified Primary School teacher - 27 years teaching experience.

I charge £30 for a week's session. This includes a one hour webcam session with a written report sent to parent's email after each one. There may be some resources that I may suggest - I can send you links to print yourself or I can print and send to you for a small extra charge.
