Methodology

Many learners I have taught have shown anxiety in their learning with a lack of confidence in their ability. I have found that by offering resources linked to a topic of interest, results in them immersing themselves in the task. It is with a great satisfaction that I have found learners are then more motivated and have gained confidence in their ability, by developing skills to overcome their social and emotional needs and so achieve their goals.

Experience

Over the past 19 years, I have had the opportunity to develop my teaching skills, gaining valuable experience in teaching learners who need extra support to overcome barriers to achieving. I am aware of issues affecting some learners which can and have over ridden their choice and chance of participating in education. My qualifications such as BA(Hons) Degree in Education where I used Autism in the classroom as my Dissertation, Certificate in Education, L3 Awareness in ASD and L5 Adult Specialist in English, are necessary to implement resources to motivate such barriers and complex needs, including Autism, ADHD and Dyslexia as well as emotional and behavioural issues. My teaching, tutoring and supporting career has involved both children and adult learners, including German children, in both one to one and group sessions from a very basic level to GCSE and Level 2 Functional Skills. Due to the variety of my educational career, I am available for tutoring to all ages and abilities; learners who are home educated, pre-school, primary, pre-SATs, pre-GCSE, and for 16+ who may not have achieved their GCSE grades and need to gain levels of Functional Skills for College courses. My knowledge of the required topics on a variety of curriculum, along with my examiner experience, has allowed me to prepare learners for their exams including format of questions and the exam environment.

Rates

Rate for online lessons : £25/h

Rate for 5 hours of lessons : £120

Rate for 10 hours of lessons : £270

Details

Your first lesson will be free and last for 60 minutes. In this time I will assess your learning requirements and your specific learning needs.

My hourly rate for a lesson in a public area is £30.
If you would like to book a pack of 5 or 10, 60 minute lessons, you will have one of those lessons free; the 5 lesson pack would cost you £120 instead of £150 and the 10 lesson pack £270 instead of £300.

For an online lesson my hourly rate is £25.
If you would like to book a pack of 5 or 10, 60 minute lessons, you will have one of those lessons free; the 5 lesson pack would cost you £100 instead of £125 and the 10 lesson pack £225 instead of £250.
