I am very lucky that I have had a lot of wonderful students contact me through this website and have supported them in a number of ways since April 2020. Some have weekly support and some see me on an ad hoc basis for specific help with assignments, modules or essays.
I have supported social work students within my workplace as their practice assessors recently meaning I am up to date with university expectations, reflective practice and written work.
My teaching method is a collaborative one which enables the student to reflect upon and grow as a social work practitioner. I am nurturing and honest, I want the best for my students!
I break down pieces of work/ information into manageable chunks, offer guidance, share knowledge, ask questions to help develop reflective skills, linking theory to practice and a client centred way of practice.
I can offer bespoke tutoring in the following areas:
- specific subject areas for courses or degrees that a student may be struggling with.
-proof reading assignments, essays or dissertations.
-breaking down assignment or exam criteria. Supporting with what to cover, learning objectives and onward signposting to reading resources.
-preparing for practice placement
-legislation and policy lessons
- Developing reflective practice and critical analysis skills
I can also discuss specific needs and we can also create a plan together.
Please note I am not taking on tutoring students from April 2021 for the foreseeable.
