My teaching method starts by meeting the young people where they are. I understand each student has a unique starting point and we work from there. I am deeply committed to knowing my students as well as I can in order to ensure an outcome which is tailored to their needs. I use a wide variety of interactive teaching methods in my teaching practice, both in a 1:1, small group or whole class setting.
I have ten years teaching experience in History and Humanities, with six in Special Needs. I have an MA in Special and Inclusive Education as well as an MSc in Psychology. I pull all of this together in my work as a Deputy SENCo. I have an excellent understanding of the curriculum and the associated pressures, particularly for young people with additional needs. Therefore I am able to tailor support effectively.
I have a wealth of experience and success in both suppporting and teaching students with SEND.
