About the lesson
Teaching to children and adults;

Research of precise exercises to reach goals step by step, in and out of pool;

Use of exercises of other disciplines (Water Polo, Aqua Gym, Synchronised Swimming) to improve the confidence with water.
A good instructor needs to know swimming stroke techniques, but I believe this is not enough.
My personal aim is providing high quality services to my students.
I schedule lessons and determine the break-down of goals.
I explore and plan specific exercises to reach goals step by step.
Sometimes I propose exercises outside the pool to help pupils understand a single swimming stroke’s element and to increase their athletic abilities.
I like to enrich my lessons with exercises of other disciplines such as water polo, aqua gym and synchronised swimming to improve pupils' confidence in the water and have more fun.
I clearly explain and repeat exercises as many times as required. In particular with children, I use simple language and different ways to explain the same exercise.
Furthermore, I find demonstrations to be a useful method of clarifying verbal explanation.
I ensure that students comprehend the purpose of exercises by querying the reason behind specific tasks.
I introduce games, in particular with children, to teach water skills and reach main goals, while adding fun to lessons.
I use my creativity to propose new games and sometimes I require pupils to suggest their ideas to have interactive and personalised lessons.
I give great importance to targeted corrections to make students aware of mistakes. During or after every exercise I provide feedback to explain mistakes and/or to encourage good performance. It’s important to praise each little improvement!
I am very keen on creating a good feeling with my students, as I wish for them to feel comfortable during my lessons. Pupils should enjoy themselves while learning how to swim.
Safety is a must. I never leave pupils alone and I take care of them from the beginning to the end of lessons. Swimming pools have several dangers and many rules must be respected by the users.
It is my priority to teach the right behaviour in swimming pools as part of my lessons.

About Eleonora
I am a lively person, who loves the aquatic world and teaching swimming to students.
Every little improvement of each student makes me glad!
I have been swimming since I was 5 years old and my passion for this discipline led me teaching.
In 2003 I started my career path as a swimming teacher in Italy. I am a fully qualified FIN Instructor Level 2 / STA Level 2, with up to date training.
My experience includes working with a diverse range of students: kids, adults and disables, which led me adopting tailored approaches to reach same goals. I am skilled to teach to groups of students as well as to run 1:1 lesson, from beginners to advanced levels.
During my work I spotted potential talent in young swimmers and thus encouraged their skills up to the point that they moved onto competitive swimming and achieved great results.
I helped adults overcoming their fear of water and swimming by making them feel comfortable in the water and progressively teaching them how to float and swim.
I always make sure that my students feel comfortable, joyful and safe during my lessons. Their trust and satisfaction have been always a great reward for my work.

I loved my lessons with Eleonora: they felt planned, engaging, challenging but within levels that I could reach. She is a very patient tutor but at the same time knows when to push and when you can achieve a little bit more. She is very knowledgeable and the lessons felt very professional, and yet still retained that element of fun! Would heartily recommend :)
Eleonora has been my colleague for nearly 10 years and I enjoyed the time spent with her during our swimming classes.
She is a technically knowledgeable and reliable instructor. Her lessons are well planned and structured with introductory steps to learn more advanced water skills, they are fun indeed.
She is an excellent team player.
