For individual students we will start with a session to get to know your aims and needs, and plan accordingly. I am very pupil-led in my approach, and will adapt the lessons to suit you. If you need something done differently, just ask! I am friendly, approachable and passionate about the subjects I teach - so the lessons will always be fun and informative.

In my spare time I enjoy playing and listening to music, video games and logic puzzles, and since beginning my engineering degree in 2017 I have been excited to be learning again. I hope to be able to pursue a PhD after completing my current studies, and intend to incorporate some of my experience and skills as a musician into this. Outside of my usual work I have played in several bands and orchestras around Kent and worked on several amateur stage productions as a musician.
Since being diagnosed with hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (a connective tissue disorder) I have had to accept several lifestyle and career changes, and am no longer able to perform for long periods of time. However, I have been able to draw on my experience and acquired knowledge of the condition to begin developing a series of YouTube videos aimed at helping musicians who suffer from hypermobility spectrum disorders and working with others who are also affected. Within my support network for hEDS I have gained a reputation for being honest, cool-headed and diplomatic, which has led to being asked to mentor other members who have had difficulty integrating into the group and to help mediate disputes.
Overall, I try to take a warm yet professional approach with my students and their families, and always keep the needs of the student at the fore. I have developed good interpersonal skills over my time as a tutor and I am organised and methodical in my work.
