My goal for teaching is to provide lessons for students with whatever interests them most, be it learning simply for leisure or for examinations. I am comfortable with adjusting my teaching methods in order to cater for the student's specific needs, and to provide them with the learning experience that they are most passionate about.
I am a 24 year old violinist and I graduated from the Royal Northern College of Music in 2017. I previously taught violin in private lessons ranging from beginner to advanced levels, and I have prepared students for ABRSM violin grades with high level results. I am also experienced in teaching in group settings to children of a younger age at beginner levels, so I am confident in managing a number of students and making it a fun and inspiring learning experience. I am available to teach up to advanced/diploma levels and to teach people of all ages.
I was appointed as peer mentor with the Greater Manchester Youth String Orchestra in the years 2016/2017 where I worked in Cheetham's School of Music with young string players as both a rehearsal assistant and as a peer mentor for the students.
As well as teaching, I do regular extra work with professional orchestras in Ireland. This mixture of teaching and performing provides me with an added versatility and allows me to further develop my musicianship skills and as a result, to obtain more information that I can pass on to students.
My rates will vary depending on the level of the lessons and also on the length of lessons.
