Greek is a fascinating language of one of the oldest ancient civilizations, the landmark of many modern societies. Culture and language are strongly connected with each other and are constantly developing. Every language has unique meanings, expressions, concepts, not only words. This is why I tend not to focus to the pure translation of words, but I consider as my debt to teach through the Modern Greek language every part of the well-known Greek Civilization; a subject I am familiar with through my studies BA (Hons) in ‘European Civilization’. My experience as a teacher in Greek and English schools as well as my higher education in Greek and English institutions have given me the ability to be absolutely fluent in both languages and at the same time absolutely able to transmit the language properly. The Prosody of the Greek Language by itself is an entity widely connected with rhythm and music. My experience as a singer and composer as well as a music teacher has given me the ability to teach efficiently the elements of the Greek language by using music, helping that way the students to memorize easier words, grammar, syntax and accent. Therefore, learning a language is not only the transmission of knowledge but the full participation of the learner, the exploration of a new world, the Greek Culture.
In Andromachi`s main concerns are the participation of the student and his/her family during the whole educational process. Thus, she is highly enthusiastic and dedicated in working hard, efficiently and effectively in order to provide tailor-made, up-to-date lessons, helping the students to achieve their personal goals. Every lesson is carefully planned and well-structured and extra resources are provided in reading, writing, listening and speaking with the use of CDs and DVDs, etc. The lessons always concentrate on pupils` interests, abilities and goals (pleasure, business, or exams); and every step is full supported especially during the exam (GCSE/A-Level/IELTS) preparation period. Moreover, she teaches adults, and undergraduate students for essays, dissertations and exams, and also is available for online tuitions and translations. The Socratic approach is used in order the tutees to participate during the lesson becoming that way increasingly independent and confident. Andromachi has strong work ethic and is patient, respectful to the students, flexible, with positive attitude, open minded, and a good listener able to solve problems.

We cannot recommend Andromachi highly enough! She has been teaching piano to our older 9 year old twins over the past 1 year. She has recently also started teaching our 4 year old little one. All three of our kids thoroughly enjoy her lessons. She has a very professional attitude, is very reliable and always on time. She has a calm nature and makes lessons fun. Her love for music and teaching really shows through! - Anastasia
Andromachi is an excellent tutor. Asher has taught me singing, which is something I need as a musician to improve myself. She is trustworthy, professional and knows in depth her job.
