I feel the best way to get a student engaged in the subject is to gain a sense of mutual respect between me and them, and create an environment where they can think for themselves, make new connections within the subject, while also gaining the necessary skills and knowledge for exams or coursework. Every lesson will approach new challenges and homework shall be set to encourage the student to gain independence in private study. Homework will include questions over what we had gone through during the lesson and practice exams once the student is ready.
Travel distance may increase my fees. Also, degree level tutoring for sociology may be higher.
I have been giving lessons for a few years in various subjects. My background is mainly in the social sciences, which I have written on even after my degree for academic journals. However, I am also very competent when it comes to helping students with GCSE history, A-level politics, and English before GCSE level.
