My approach is to take the stress out of learning for my students. I create a safe environment that is high achieving but where my pupils feel they can make mistakes and learn from them. I use a thorough, step by step approach so that my students learn the fundamentals of a subject. I focus on teaching my students how to appreciate and enjoy a subject as much as exam technique and revision. I strive to build my students` confidence and to incorporate their interests and passions in lessons in order to make subjects fun and engaging.
I have several years experience, working with several tutoring agencies, including JK Educate, Holland Park Tutors and Greater London Tutors - I have successfully prepared 11 plus students for highly competitive state selective as well as independent school entrance exams.
I have also prepared students for GCSE and A-level exams and I have taught undergraduate students at Brunel University for several years.
At JK Educate I received training in SEN teaching, 11 plus preparation, exam content, and student assessment. In addition, I have knowledge of the appropriate resources (both books and online materials) for 11 plus preparation through to university level.
