Positivity and reinforcement is the key to learning a musical instrument. Playing an instrument is a gift and it should be taught in that way too. The inspiration comes from the teacher and is aided by the parent in the early years of playing, before (more than likely) the student decides what they want to take from their talent.
I am a Viola player predominantly, but also play and teach violin. I have been giving lessons for 3 years now since my time in London. I have had more than 10 students who have all been beginners and completed up to grade 8 level standard.

Performed Bruch Romanze with City of Belfast Youth Orchestra and conducted an ensemble playing the Telemann Viola concerto, both in the Ulster Hall, Belfast.
Took part in ‘Klassisk I Sentrum’ chamber music festival in Grimstad, Norway, in February 2019. Here I played and recorded with Violist Lars Anders Tomter and Violinist Jan Bjoranger. I have now been invited back for the next festival, happening in the summer of 2019.
