My lessons are fun, engaging and challenging. I create a supportive atmosphere in which children are motivated to push themselves to exceed their expectations. A typical lesson is conducted through a virtual 'classroom' and will include short exercises to stretch the child's thinking before exploring different ways to solve 11+ style questions. We gradually build up a bank of the most efficient methods for that particular child. As the test dates get nearer we focus on improving speed without losing accuracy. The goal is for the child to approach their exam feeling calm and confident, keen to show their best.
I am a friendly, approachable and professional tutor with several years of teaching and tutoring experience. I offer a positive learning experience and focus on building my students' confidence.

Hi liz, just to let you know I got into my course - thanks for all your help with the maths and English.
Just wanted to let you know that M was offered a place at [selective independent school] yesterday. They said it was a very competitive year and I think the vast majority were from [prep school] or the Junior School.
Thanks for helping M to achieve this - you made all the difference.
Thank you so much Liz, for all your help so far. M is now feeling much more confident about the whole thing. He even said he likes maths now, unheard of in this household! His teacher is really pleased with his progress since their last assessment, this means they are planning to move him up to the next group after half term.
She got in!!! We heard this morning that C has been successful in the general entrance and the scholarship. We are so proud of her. Thanks so much for your patience, I really don't think we'd have got there without you.
Hi Liz, I just wanted to say thank you for all your hard work over the last few months with J. He's going into year 7 with much more confidence.
