Fide Master (FM) with international experience and official Chess instructor gives classes in Spanish and English
Methodology
Thankfully Covid-19 has not been a problem for learning and improving chess. I can give classes online to an alumnus or a group. From the first class, I assess and develop an individual program to work on the weaknesses and help you reach your goal. I tend to focus on strengthening the opening middle-game and endgame. Depending on the current level it could be more beneficial to work more on strategy or tactics.
I can give classes both in English and Spanish!
Experience
First of all, chess is really fun, and thanks to Beth Harmon is as popular as it has ever been! It improves many of your aptitudes including concentration, critical-thinking, problem-solving, and creativity among others. As a Ph.D. student, I can really tell you how much good playing chess has done for me.
I have played chess since I was 5 years old and compete in big tournaments all over the world. I have a diploma from the Chess Federation in Madrid that makes me an Official Chess Instructor. I have experience teaching from 5-year-old students to more mature players who want to improve their rating. I am a Fide Master (FM) with a 2340 Fide rating and two International Master norms. I am studying and trying to work my way to Grandmaster (GM) in the next years. So no matter what level you are in, I can help you with that.
Apart from that, I am finishing my Ph.D. at the University of Edinburgh. I have 4 years of experience of demonstrating and giving particular classes at several university levels and subjects from biology to physics.

Details
Depending on the chess level the prices can change over time. It the level is more and intermediate (2000+ ELO) I will charge £15 instead of the initial £13.
