The first phase of my teaching style is to identify areas the student struggles with the most. We then build a foundation tailored around specific areas of focus within the subject along with a long term plan that the student can work against. The next phase is to deepen the existing foundation by offering an enriching environment for learning and fostering an inquisitive attitude. I want to spark intrigue in the student. This is accompanied by the premise that I believe that even the most difficult concepts can be broken down within 5 minutes and that little an often is better than a lot but infrequent. Once we have built a positive, inquisitive and well-rounded mindset, we then move onto tackling exam questions. By this point, the student will be ready to tackle almost any exam question thrown their way. Fatigue, boredom and discouragement do not pass exams. However, inspiration acquired through a rich subject knowledge and a positive framework for thinking, do. If you've got this far, I suggest we book a consultation.
