My teaching methodology can vary based on the learning style of the student. I particularly focus on inquiry-based learning and also game-based learning. I encourage students to find the revision method that works best for them - this can involve posters, flash cards, mind maps or past papers. I am happy to provide sessions solely focused on revision prep.
I focus on students understanding a subject enough to be able to both ask and understand complex questions. I believe that a student who is inquisitive about a subject is far more likely to understand and link together topics. Therefore, I enjoy making subjects fun in order to spark creativity.
A main study method of mine is covering each topic individually and then using a short period to recap that topic in line with other previous topics learnt - allowing a connection to be made which benefits in exams/essay-style questions.
I am a final year undergraduate at the University of Exeter. I study Biological Science and have also taken an additional Sports Science module this year. I gained the following A-Levels; Biology (A), Psychology (A) and Physical Education (A*).
I currently am a junior coach for a local netball club - they have had a high success rate over the past year and many have decided to take on GCSE/A-Level PE due to my input. I also ran many revision sessions at my local college and school in subjects including; Physcial Education, Biology, Maths and Psychology. Many of my students gained a grade above their expected level - and I only tutored them weekly for an hour.
