I hold a Post-Graduate Certificate in Education (Additional Learning Needs).
As a qualified Specialist Dyslexia Tutor, I am able to provide informal and standardised assessments that will help outline strengths and weakness in key areas of learning and recommendations for practise.
I am trained to plan and deliver a specialised programme of work for those experiencing literacy and numeracy difficulties. It is multi-sensory, structured, and tailored programme which provides a platform to facilitate an individuals learning needs, style and preference.
I hold Approved Practitioner Status (APS) and a current Practising Certificate (APC) with the British Dyslexia Association.
- How much do you charge?
No charge for the first consultation session.

- Where do you teach?
I am happy to travel within a 15 mile radius from my home (Lichfield, Stafford, Walsall, Rugeley, Hednesford, Burntwood, Great Haywood).
I will also receive students at my home address (located between junctions 11/12 of the M6).
- When are you available?

- Which ages and levels do you teach?
I specialise in tutoring learners from 4 -16 years with literacy difficulties (dyslexia) and maths difficulties, but also have experience with teaching mature learners how to develop basic reading, writing and mathematical skills.

- What kind of experience do you have?
I have enjoyed being part of the education 'establishment' for the past 30 years, where I have gained teaching experience of all age groups and specialised within the SEN area of education. I have worked with both primary and secondary schools, developing staff knowledge of foundation skills and cognitive processing in learners to determine teaching strategies.
Currently I work part of the week at a primary school where my main focus is through delivering SEN intervention programmes and the development of skills required to progress across all subjects through dyslexic friendly teaching methods.
