I have a very relaxed teaching method, I like to try and make my lessons as fun as possible and encourage questions from my students.
I create resources for each lesson that is specific to the individual that I am teaching, I believe that a lesson is much more effective if it caters to the individuals learning styles. I also try to fit in as many cross curricular topics that I feel may be relevant to the subject I am teaching..
I feel it is important to not only focus on what the student has learnt but also what questions they ask as this gives a very good impression of how well they have understood the lesson.
If possible I like to keep in touch with my students science teachers so I can better ensure that the lessons I provide complement the teaching they are experiencing in their schools as this provides continuity that I believe is important for developing confidence and understanding.
I am a knowledgeable, passionate and experienced Science tutor, I have over 150 hours private tuition experience and currently hold a BSc in Secondary Science Education that has given me extensive skills in areas such as academic skills, lesson planning and delivery, subject knowledge, communication and personal development., I am also currently studying a MSc in Computing that I believe has given me the skills to teach computer science at GCSE level.
