About the lesson

My lessons are modelled on Cambridge supervision-style teaching. I encourage critical thinking and interactive learning.

We can work together through essay questions, readings and general concepts to develop analytical skills. This includes clear, structured and highly analytical writing. Students will also develop stronger speaking and interview skills.

About Maya

I graduated from the University of Cambridge with a first in Human, Social and Political Sciences (HSPS), specialising in Political Philosophy, Sociology and IR. I achieved a mark of 84 on my dissertation, for which I received the John Dunn prize in the Politics and International Studies department.

I believe that thinking out-loud and learning through critical dialogue can help students fully realise their potential. This way, we can untangle complex ideas and theories into clear concepts.

Beside conducting primary research for my undergraduate and Masters dissertations, I completed multiple research internships at the American University of Beirut (AUB) and the Lebanese Economic Association (LEA). I grew up in Lebanon and am fluent in English, French and Arabic

Perfect! Maya have increased my confidence on my essay-writing skills with her supervisor method. This method is a Q&A where she asks questions based on readings she sent related to my classes. Not only that she helped me understand terms and political thinkers, she also introduced me to many more concepts to make my answers more in-depth.
