I am a soon-to-be graduate of the University of Glasgow. I achieved a First-Class Honours Degree in Psychology. After graduation I plan to complete and Masters and PhD degree before gaining a job as a University teacher.
I would offer teaching across the subjects within Psychology (inc. Social Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Evolutionary Psychology etc...) while also teaching the students an effective way to conduct their own research. I also offer help with Statistics at early year undergraduate level.
I will not tell students what to do or write, I will encourage them to find the answers out for themselves. I will also bring along textbooks and notes that will supplement my teaching sessions.
I provided assistance with my younger sister for her National 5 Exams and am continuing this support for her Higher exams. For her National 5's she achieved straight A's in English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, History and Music.
In my time at school I also helped with the Paired Reading Scheme. Over a period of two years, I read with younger students who had dyslexia to help them improve their reading and literacy skills.
In my second year of University I was part of the peer assisted learning (PAL) scheme. In this initiative I helped younger undergraduates with their coursework and exam revision.
At Standard Grade, Credit Level, I achieved eight 1s in: Art and Design, Biology, English, French, History, Mathematics, Music and Physics. I also achieved the following higher-order qualifications;
Higher Biology - A Higher Mathematics - A
Higher Chemistry - A Higher Physics - A
Higher English - A Advanced Higher Biology - A
Higher History - A Advanced Higher Mathematics - A
I am about to graduate with a First-Class Honours degree in Psychology from the University of Glasgow.
I have received a number of rewards and distinctions, including;
• Proxime Accessit of St. Columba's High School (2011-2012)
• The Highest mark for Higher English in my School (2012)
• Head Girl of St. Columba's High School (2012-2013)
• Placed on Glasgow University School of Psychology Merit List for excellent examination performance in 2015-2016
As a straight A student in school I would be able to provide excellent tuition for high school students (particularly in science and mathematics). Additionally, I can provide a very high standard of tutoring for early year undergraduate psychology students as I have demonstrated a great academic track-record.
